In Game Rant’s Gauntlet: Slayer Edition review, we identified the title as a fun multiplayer romp that might not be worth a purchase for those looking to play solo, but the game becoming free makes giving it a try a no-brainer. Meanwhile, King’s Quest - Chapter 1 has revamped the classic King’s Quest series into an enjoyable adventure game that’s been met with critical acclaim.
Although the troubles with the PS Vita are well-documented, Sony’s support of the platform has at least extended as far as the PlayStation Plus free games system, and those users still sticking with the mobile device will be rewarded with Freedom Wars. Freedom Wars is an action role-playing game that many reviewers believed to be the biggest 2014 release on the PS Vita, and now gamers will have a chance to see for themselves without having to spend any money to do so.

It was always going to be hard for Sony to follow their PS Plus November 2015 lineup, which featured gigantic titles like Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: Season 2, Mass Effect 2, and Beyond Good & Evil. Although Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon’s reviews and reception mark the title as a must-own, the rest of the December line-up are mostly niche titles that will please specific groups of fans rather than most of the subscribers.
Still, it’s difficult to criticize companies for putting free bonus games on offer as part of a subscription service incentive that many gamers would pay for without the extra content. In fact, Sony’s decision to let gamers vote on which PS Plus games are offered for free every few months makes sure that even if some months aren’t as appealing as others, fans will still get the chance to score some games they really want eventually. Well, that was the plan, until Sony stopped actually letting gamers vote…
